Behind Closed Doors (Video Clip)

I promise you guys that Katelyn is not sour-faced all the time! When she’s around a lot of people or if there are strangers in the room, she doesn’t demonstrate all the things she’s learning. Here’s a taste of what Daddy and Mommy get to see and enjoy!

Music in Her Genes – (Video)

It’s amazing what children pick up without you even teaching them. In our house, we have a room dedicated to my piano. This is also the same room where we practice singing if we are assigned to do special music or something. Katelyn has identified this room as the music room and she knows exactly what we do there. She does this thing to emulate singing: she sings “Ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh” with two repeating notes. It sounds like “C-E-C-E-C.” The doors to…

AND… I don’t know anybody else who has one. He he he. Got 2 B original. I love walking around the neighborhood with Katelyn and Doxy. It’s a great warm up for a good jog afterwards. Now if only I could…

At LAST! She walks!

April 18th, 2008… a day which will live in… what’s the opposite of infamy?  Famy?  At the grand old age of 1 year, 8 months, 1 week and 2 days, Katelyn has AT LAST taken her very first unassisted steps!

It was close to midnight on a Friday at the Baysa’s in Missouri City.  Katelyn was playing in between us on the bed as Bryan and I lay down.  Tired as we were, we waited for her to spend a little…
